#63 – Left Handed Gesture Drawings

I broke my right wrist on Wednesday when I fell off a stepstool while trying to help my neighbor. I think it hurt my pride more than anything, and it really made me mad that it was my drawing hand. I was also really upset that due to my injury, I missed Danny Gregory’s lecture at Fullerton College where at least four other teachers from sketchbook Skool appeared too. Grrrrr…talk abut bad timing.

The good thing is, I didn’t hurt anything else, and it is just a matter of time before it heals.

Thanks to the encouragement of my Sketchbook Skool Klassmates, I am proceeding with the classes using my left hand. I’m following their advice and ignoring my monkey and just going for it. Who knows, maybe I’ll develop some new neural networks along the way.

  1. What the heck, you are pretty good using your left hand Barb. You are always the one that keeps going and going despite anything to happen to you. Hope the wrist gets better soon for you. Take care……Karen
