#48 – Draw What’s In Front of You

I brought my sketchbook supplies with me on a ride to the beach yesterday. We ate breakfast at Ruby’s on the Huntington Beach pier, then drove to Fountain Valley so Al could browse the Guitar Center there. Since the loud noises from the amps bother me, I stayed in the car and drew the view that was in front of me. I finished the background wash and the sketch in the car, then finished coloring it with watercolors at home based on a photo I took. Again, I am practicing going straight to the paper with ink. It is scary to give up my pencil, but I’ve managed to do it all week long! I like this better than my first landscape sketch, but I still have a lot of practice ahead of me.
